Ginkgo Love 2 explores connection, movement, and the beauty of remaining individual while still belonging to something larger.

Vibrant ginkgo leaves drift across layers of violet, blue, plum, and magenta, their brilliant greens and yellows emerging from the deeper background. Delicate stems travel through the composition, connecting one organic form to another and creating a sense of movement—as though the leaves are suspended somewhere between growing, falling, and floating.

Created with oil and cold wax over acrylic ink, the layered surface allows earlier colors, marks, and imperfections to remain visible. Rather than precisely rendering the ginkgo, the painting captures its essence through shape, color, texture, and gesture.
