Ginkgo Love 1 is a vibrant exploration of movement, resilience, and the imperfect beauty of nature. Expressive ginkgo leaves emerge and overlap across a richly layered field of deep violet, blue, and magenta, illuminated by unexpected flashes of brilliant yellow and green.

Created with oil and cold wax over an acrylic ink foundation, the painting reveals traces of what came before—color showing through color, irregular edges, shifting shapes, and marks left intentionally visible. The result feels spontaneous and alive, much like nature itself.

The ginkgo, one of the world's most ancient trees, has long been associated with resilience, endurance, and hope. Here, its familiar fan-shaped leaves become less botanical and more emotional—each one distinct, imperfect, and connected to the whole.
