In “Beautifully Broken – After Dark,” sharp, angular shards of color radiate outward in a burst of energy — lemon yellow, lime, violet, crimson, and deep plum cutting through the darkness. Layers of acrylic, oil, and cold wax build texture and depth, allowing each edge and surface to catch the light differently. Inspired by my work as a therapist, this piece reflects the way I witness people in moments when they feel broken — yet I see beauty in the opportunity, vulnerability, and rawness that emerges in those times. It’s an expression of embracing and accepting all the parts of self, exactly as they are.
